Wilbur Jarvis McDaniel

Wilbur Jarvis McDaniel, 70, of Stockbridge, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, at Sacred Journey Hospice. McDaniel was born June 27, 1937 in Fulton County. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn McDaniel, of Stockbridge; son, Daniel Lawrence McDaniel, of Hampton; three stepsons, one stepdaughter, eight grandchildren and two sisters.

Funeral services for Wilbur McDaniel will be held Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m., in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Gene Turkett will officiate. Interment will be private. Winton Williams, Jr.

Winton Williams, Jr., 74, of McDonough, passed away Feb. 28. Mr. Williams was born in Fulton County, the son of the late Dovy Lou Vincent and Winford Williams. He had retired after being in business for himself as a paint contractor. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, fishing and hunting. His wife, Emma D. Williams, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his children, Frederick Blankenship, of Hampton, Dorothy and Jerry Tucker, of McDonough, Gary and Carol Williams, of Forest Park, Lee and Karen Williams, of McDonough, Patricia Crane, of Ellenwood, and Wanda Stigall, of Sharpsburg; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette and Eldon Adams, of Forest Park, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Turner officiating. Interment will be held at 4 p.m., at Forest Hills Cemetery in Forest Park. Mable Freeman Gardner

Mable Freeman Gardner, 86, of Locust Grove, passed away Feb. 28. She was born in Wilkes County, Ga., the daughter of the late Mary Tolbert Cox and Charles Taylor Freeman. Mrs. Gardner was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed her family, friends and driving her dog, Daisy, around. She also enjoyed her church, reading and traveling. Her husband, James Robert Gardner, and several siblings preceded her in death. Survivors are her children, Robert and Savi Gardner, of Long Beach, Calif., Earl and Susan Gardner, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Neil and Bonnie Gardner, of Locust Grove; sister, Doris Gaines, of Lakeland, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gardner will be Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m., at Locust Grove First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kenny Heath officiating. Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
