Forest Park Police are looking for a 42-year-old man in a white Pontiac Grand AM, who may be trying to flee the country.
Jose Francisco Gonzales, an employee at Ameri-South Recycling, is wanted on a murder charge.
Gonzales allegedly stabbed a man in the back in Starr Park, Saturday afternoon. When police arrived, a little after 3 p.m., Manual Lira was lying in the parking lot, face down, with "a large wound to his back," according to police reports.
Police were cryptic about the dispute between the men, only saying it was, "a result of a domestic situation." On the arrest warrant, Gonzales' wife is listed as the primary witness to the murder.
Lira, of Forest Park, was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, but died from his injuries.
Gonzales fled in the Grand AM before police arrived at the park, Saturday.
On Monday afternoon, he was reportedly still "at large," but detectives believe he's driving a Pontiac with a Georgia license plate, number ARF-0236. He may have fled the state, police said.
Forest Park Police are requesting that anyone with information about Jose Francisco Gonzales' location call the Crime Tip Line at (404) 608-2388 or call Detective K. Henry at (404) 366-4141.
