Pets of the Week - March 20, 2008

Aspen is a 3 year old Poodle.  Aspen has been neutered and all vaccinations are current.  Aspen was rescued from Animal Control.  Aspen was horribly matted and ungroomed when he was discovered, and it was obvious that this poor guy was not going to be a good candidate for adoption from the "dog pound".  CCHS took sweet Aspen, had him properly groomed, and he is now a fine looking little guy.  Aspen is extremely sweet, outgoing and playful.  He also does well with other dogs.  And the icing on the cake....he is crate-trained and housebroken.  For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.

Gigi is a calico/tabby domestic shorthair.Gigi is approximately 2 years old. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Gigi was rescued from a horrible situation where there had been a long history of animal neglect and cruelty, yet there always seemed to be an endless supply of animals at this home.  Gigi is an extremely sweet girl, but shelter life has proven to be difficult for her. The many other cats living at the CCHS shelter make Gigi very nervous and she tends to cling to the back of her cage, apparently frightened and timid.  Gigi will do much better once she is in a home and not competing with so many other animals.  Gigi spends the majority of her time in a small cage, so the CCHS staff is extremely anxious to find a wonderful home for Gigi.  If you are interested in adopting Gigi, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
