More than a month after the armed robbery of a Stockbridge restaurant, Henry County Police say they are still searching for additional information that will lead them to the parties responsible.
The robbery took place Feb. 19, at approximately 3 p.m., inside the Waffle House at 611 Ga. Highway 138.
According to Henry Police Capt. Jason Bolton, two black males entered the location, one carrying what appeared to be a revolver and the other wielding a 40-caliber semi-automatic handgun.
One of the suspects, explained the captain, forced a waiter to open the cash register, and fired twice at the safe in the restaurant, in an attempt to open it.
"He was unable to gain access, and soon fled on foot toward the back of the building into the woods," Bolton said.
Police have obtained video surveillance footage of the robbery, but have been unable to locate the two men since the incident occurred.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective Mike Ireland, with the police department's Criminal Investigations Division, at (770) 288-8260.
