Claude Julius Crim, Jr.
Claude Julius Crim, Jr., age 64 of Stockbridge, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 29, 2008. Mr. Crim served in the United States Air Force and retired from Delta Air Lines Oct. 1, 2000. At retirement, he was a maintenance coordinator in an advisory group for aircraft maintenance and was affectionately known as "Diamond Jim" among his Delta family. Retirement allowed time to pursue his love of old cars and to spend precious ours with his family. Claude was preceded in death by his father, Claude Julius Crim, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Callaway Crim; sons, Shane Crim and his girlfriend, Cassie Apley, Anthony Crim and his girlfriend, Sabrina Walls, all of Stockbridge; mother, Sara Senn Crim; sister, Rita and Harold Vinson of West Columbia, S.C.; brothers, George and Angie Crim, Vandy and Debbie Crim, both of West Columbia, S.C., Clarence and Joyce Crim of Suwanee; sister-in-law, Betty Griffin of Hampton; brothers-in-law, Ben Callaway, Harry Callaway, both of Forest Par, Clifford and Cheryl Callaway of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Ward's Fairview Chapel with Rev. Doug Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday, March 31, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Claude Crim was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend to all who knew him. His unique wit, humor and constant smile are irreplaceable, he will be truly missed.
