Mr. Bobby Curtis
Mr. Bobby Curtis, 62, of Jonesboro, passed away May 4, 2008 at the Atlanta Medical Center.
Bobby was born in Columbus, to the late Lloyd Robert Curtis and Lenna Mae Carter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Anderson. Bobby was a hardworking, honest man who loved his family and friends. He loved his girls and spoiled his grandchildren rotten.
He enjoyed golf and watching his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. Bobby and his wife, Delores, started their lives together on May 8, 1972. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Delores Curtis, of Jonesboro; daughters and son-in-law, Dana Curtis, of Atlanta, Crystal (Dennis) Brown, of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Madisyn, Kyndal, and Adam Brown; mother, Lenna Stillwell, of McCayesville; sisters, Ruby Kephart, of Murphy, N.C., Lura Carter, of Cleveland, Tenn.; brothers, Bill Curtis, of McCayesville, Jimmy Curtis, of Cleveland, Tenn.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Curtis will be conducted Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m., at the Griffin First Assembly. Pastor Marty Simpson and Pastor Randy Valimont will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens in Griffin. Friends may visit the family Tuesday, 4-6 p.m., and Wednesday, 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
