Mrs. Faye Kirkes, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away May 11, 2008. She was the owner and operator of Faye's Auto Paint Supply in Riverdale.
Surviving are her son, Nathan Kirkes, of Jonesboro; daughter, Karma Truncale, of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Ashley Truncale, Mason Truncale, and Peyton Truncale, all of Alpharetta; and sister, Dena Swanson, of Portland, Ore.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends TODAY (Tuesday, May 13), 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Grace K. Thrasher
Grace K. Thrasher, 73, of Stockbridge, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Colquit, Ga., to the late Eugene and Lucille Monday Knight.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tunis P. Thrasher, and brother, Hilton Knight. Mrs. Thrasher worked for many years for the Fulton County Board of Education in District Operations. In her early years, she loved spending time at their house on Lake Hartwell and enjoyed traveling. But most important to her was watching her grandchildren grow up and supporting their school activities, including the Stockbridge ROTC.
Mrs. Thrasher is survived by her son, Powell Thrasher, Jr., Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Doralee Thrasher and David Escamilla, Austin, Texas; daughter, Anne Thrasher, St. Louis, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Terry Van Etten, Locust Grove, Ga.; grandchildren, Adam Thrasher, Stockbridge, Katie and Jill Van Etten, Locust Grove, Jonathan Thrasher, St. Louis, Mo.; and sisters, Jewell Markem, Florida, and Edna Hall, Columbus, Ga.
There will be a private, family graveside service held on Thursday, May 15, at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14, 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Patricia Yokeley passed away May 10, 2008 at her home in Fayetteville after a long battle with cancer and lung disease.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Melvin Yokely, also of Fayetteville. Also surviving are her 5 children, Joey Yokeley, of Hampton, Kathy Yokeley, of Hampton, Patsy Harper, of Los Angeles, Calif., David Yokely, of Pike County, and Bridgette Chitwood, of Fayetteville. Mrs. Yokeley has 10 grandchildren: Joshua Hensley, Kendall Smith, Carol Davis, Blake Yokeley, Kristen Yokeley, Tommy Harper, Ashleigh Yokeley, Autumn Yokeley, Caleb Chitwood, and Chandler Yokeley. She was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren, Cohen and Lincoln Czecolinski, and Aralynn Davis. She was a member of Lovejoy Baptist Church, a devout Christian, faithful wife and loving mother. She will be missed by all.

Thomas Brown Hays, Jr., 88, of Morrow, died Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Mr. Hays is survived by his son, Thomas Hays; daughter, Rhonda Hoeft; granchildren, Jayson Hoeft, Tiffany Hays, Audra Spurlock, Bradley Hays and Preston Hays; sisters, Lounell Cole and Helen Cook; and several nieces and nehews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, at 11 a.m., at the Morrow Chapel, with Rev. Frank Crumpler officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
