Juanita R. Stephens
Ms. Juanita R. Stephens, of Jonesboro, born Jan. 26,1922, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 16, at 1 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro, with Pastor Sue Riggle officiating. Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends at Pope Dickson and Son-Jonesboro Chapel on Thursday, May 15, 2-3 p.m., and 6-8 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50-years, E.L. Stephens, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Larry Owens; Laura and Larbi Ali-Talha; grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Christy Owens, Chris and Jane Owens, Jason Ali-Talha, and Sabrina and Shadoe Thompson, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Peyton Owens, and Shadoe Thompson, Jr.; brother, Stanton Rogers; sisters, Mary Jo Bagley, and Nena Walraven. She graduated Berry College in 1942. She taught in the Clayton County School System for more than 30 years. She was also the longest-living, active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro.

James Mark Roberts
James Mark Roberts, 48, passed away May 13, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Roberts, of Newnan; children, Kendal Roberts and Derek Roberts, of Savannah; father, James Darwin Roberts; and sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Donald Evans, of Jonesboro. Harold Leon Roberts, Sr.
Mr. Harold Leon Roberts, Sr., 78, of Canton, formerly of Riverdale, passed away May 13, 2008. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Jonesboro First Methodist Church, worked with the Atlanta Hawks, was a 1948 graduate of Roosevelt High School and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He retired from the 81st ARCOM, 818 Hospital Center, as a training officer. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, at 2 p.m., in-state at 1 p.m., at the Jonesboro First Methodist Church, with Rev. Charles Robinson and Dr. Larry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Riverdale.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Juanita Johnson, and brother, Frank E. Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Janet Roberts, of Canton; daughter, Teresa and Raymond Johnson, Jonesboro; son, Harold Leon, Jr., and Claudette Roberts, of Fayetteville; step-daughters, Cheri Ingle and Doug Helmstetler, of Calif.; Laura and Scott Gallman, of Woodstock; grandchildren, Bradley aqnd Amanda Roberts, of Loganville, Megan Roberts, of Fayetteville; Jennifer Johnson, of Jonesboro; Gabriella Helmstetler, of Calif.; Seth Gallman, of Woodstock; great-grandchild, Aubrey Roberts, of Loganville; brother, Early W. and Evelyn Roberts, Jr., of Hampton; sister-in-law, Sara Roberts, of Gwinnett County; cousins, nieces and nephews.
