Denese Sampson, a legislative assistant for State Sens. Gail Davenport (D-Jonesboro) and Curt Thompson (D-Norcross), will kick off her campaign for the Clayton County Board of Education's District 7 seat Saturday, from 3-6 p.m., at Charles Milton Daniel Memorial Park, located at the intersection of Jonesboro and Morrow roads in Morrow.
She is challenging District 7 incumbent board member, David Ashe, and newcomer, Trinia Garrett, co-founder of Putting the Past Behind Us Wish Foundation (a social service group for rape victims). - Curt YeomansMore like this story
