Men's Day 2008 is well underway at Christians for Change Baptist Church in Riverdale. Please join in for food, fun, and fellowship as the men of the church stand in unity on the promises of God. Planned activities include: a Fish Fry on Friday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m., at the John Wesley Cox Family Life Center, and a Men's Day Breakfast On Saturday, May 24 at 8 a.m. A Golf Tournament will take place in conjunction with the breakfast, with a 1 p.m., tee time. St. Augustine's Episcopal Church will sponsor a kite-flying event on May 24, from 2-5 p.m. Bring your kite or favorite outdoor activity (Frisbee, hula-hoop, football, etc.) and join us for this great day of fun and fresh air. Come out and participate in the Friendship Community Church annual Memorial Day Concert on Sunday, May 25 at 6 p.m. The concert features Luther Barnes, Darwin Hobbs, Harold Holloway and Company, Friendship Community Church Praise and Worship Leaders, and the Friendship Community Choir. Greater Works Baptist Church in Jonesboro will present The Roman Road and Community Giveaway Day on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m.. Fore the first time, the Deacons of Dixon Grove will be speaking and teaching messages for our Homecoming Celebration on June 8 at 11 a.m. The pastor and ministers will conduct the devotion.
