Three Board of Education hopefuls will conduct a candidacy kick-off caravan on Sunday, May 25, from 4 p.m., to 9:30 p.m. The caravan will make stops in Districts 2, 5 and 7.
The group will kick off the campaigns of District 2 Candidate Tasha Prayor from 4 p.m., to 5:45 p.m., at 716 Waterview Dr., Riverdale. The caravan will kick off District 5 Candidate Jennifer Talley's campaign from 6 p.m., to 7:45 p.m., at 7124 Chestnut Lane, Riverdale. It will then travel to 5207 Phillips Dr., in Lake City to kick off District 7 Candidate Trinia Garrett's campaign from 8 p.m., to 9:30 p.m. People who participate in the caravan are asked to decorate their cars and wear red T-shirts. In a statement announcing the caravan, Clayton County Wide Homeowners Association President Synamon Baldwin endorsed the three candidates, calling them "unbossed and unbought."
