Mrs. Martha Jean Barrett McMillan

Mrs. Martha Jean Barrett McMillan, age 76, of McDonough, Ga. passed away Nov. 1, 2008. Mrs. McMillan was born in Forsyth, Ga. the daughter of the late Carrie Beatrice McGinnis and Jackson DeWitt Barrett. Mrs. McMillan was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed her family, caring for her grandchildren, her grandchildren's sporting events, country music, celebrity gossip, and eating out. She was known for her outgoing personality and never meeting a stranger she could not talk with. Her husband, Bethel McMillan Jr. and a brother, Jack Lanier Barrett preceded her in death. Survivors are her children, Lori (Ron) Ridenour of Lawrenceville, Mike McMillan of Norcross and Keith (Charlotte) McMillan of Covington; grandchildren, Caryn, Jason, and Kylie Ridenour, Michael and Stephen McMillan, and Courtney and Brooke McMillan; great grandchild, Patrick Ridenour. A graveside service for Mrs. McMillan will be Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 - 3 p.m. at Westview Cemetery in Nashville, Ga. with Keith McMillan officiating. Miss Mary Elizabeth "Beth" O'Melia

Miss Mary Elizabeth "Beth" O'Melia, age 21, of Locust Grove, Ga. passed away Nov. 1, 2008. Beth was known for her big smile of Love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard O'Melia; grandfather, Leland M. Smith and an uncle, Jody O'Melia. Survivors are her mother, Christy O'Melia; sisters, Caitlyn and Katherine O'Melia of Locust Grove; grandparents, Virginia Smith of Hapeville, John and Sallie O'Melia of Jonesboro; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Beth will be Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 - 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Locust Grove with Rev. Craig Bowers officiating. Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Rev. J. David Menchhofer

Rev. J. David Menchhofer, age 86, of Ellenwood, passed away, Oct. 30, 2008. He was born in Northfield, MN, he graduated from East Lansing High School in Lansing, Mich. He also graduated from Hope College in Holland, Mich., and United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, Minn. He was awarded Chaplain of the year in 2003 at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Rev. Menchhofer was a retired United Church of Christ minister. He was a minister for 55 years. He is survived by his wife, Edna; sons and daughters in law; Rev. Earl Paul Menchhofer and Rev. Pamela Gale Smith of, Hoyleton, Ill., Joseph David Menchhofer, III and Kimberly Ann of Conyers, Dale Robert Menchhofer and Martha Hunting of Seattle, Wash., and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Community Church in Hampton, Ga. Dr. Dwight Andrews, Rev. Earl Menchhofer, and Rev. Pamela Smith will officiate. Rev. Menchhofer will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery in McDonough, Ga.The family will receive friends, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
