Runell Louise Cowan
Runell Louise Cowan, 91, of Riverdale, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis W. Cowan; two sons, William Cowan, Ricky Cowan, and a sister, Florence Cox. Louise is survived by her daughters, Gracy Huff, of Atlanta, Vera (Bob) Newbern, of Brooks, Melinda Laminack, of Riverdale; sons, Arnold (JoAnn) Cowan, of Conway, S.C., Lee Cowan, of Riverdale; sisters, Susie Hardin, of College Park, Ruth Minor, of Jonesboro, Jewell Higgins, of Union City; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m., at Ward's Tara Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Mauthe officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.More like this story
