One of Henry County's most renowned educators will be remembered as a man who maintained peace following turbulent times. Randall Deladio Ponder passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
In 1971, he was the first African-American principal to lead the newly integrated Henry County Senior High School in McDonough. The homegoing service is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m., at Wesley Chapel UMC, on Racetrack Rd., in McDonough. WD Lemon & Son's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.More like this story
