"I Pray for Riverdale!" will host its annual Prayer Walk on Saturday morning, Oct. 4, starting at First Baptist Church of Riverdale, located at 6805 Church Street in Riverdale. The community is welcome to join "I Pray for Riverdale!" in going door-to-door to pray for residents in the surrounding Riverdale community. There is a part for everyone in the Prayer Walk. If you cannot physically do the walking, then, we can use you to help with registration, to sell "I Pray for Riverdale!" T-shirts, and to help prepare lunch. St. John's Episcopal Church's annual Blessing of the Animals and Fall Festival will be held Oct. 4, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m. Animals of all shapes and sizes are invited to come be blessed, petted, and loved. St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, located at 199 North Main Street in Jonesboro, will host its annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 4. Held each fall season to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals; any and all kinds of pets are welcome to participate in this traditional service.
