Mary Ann Day Whidby

Mrs. Mary Ann Day Whidby, 64, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008.

She was born in Randolph County, Ala. Mrs. Whidby was a 30-year employee of C&S Bank, now Bank of America. At the time of her retirement, she was a senior vice president. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Whidby, of Lake City; one daughter, Amy Davis, of McDonough; one sister, Nancy Day, of Atlanta, two brothers, Mike Day, of Sarasota, Fla., and Bruce Day, of LaFayette, La.; her mother-in-law, Lee Turner, of Jackson, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Kay Gatlin, of Conyers, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m.., in the Parkway Chapel Funeral Home in Forest Park, with the Rev. Reed Cumbless officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in College Park, Ga. The family received friends Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Parkway Chapel Funeral Home. The Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Parkway Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Ida "Odessa" Cagle

Ida "Odessa" Cagle, of Morrow, passed away Oct. 2, 2008 at Healthfield Hospice of Riverdale.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley and Frank Bradley, of Stockbridge, and Virginia Cagle, of Morrow; grandson, Eric and Kimberly Bradley, of Illinois; great-grandson, Xander Bradley; great-granddaughter, Kierxan Bradley; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John Callahan officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 5-8 p.m. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Thomas Scroggs Funeral Directors, Morrow, (770) 961-2828.
