jsmith@henryherald.com A Clayton County couple is being held in the Henry County jail, suspected of stealing hair products and makeup from a local business. Anketha Jasmin Johnson, 18, and Derrick Frazier, 20, are each charged with one count of robbery. Frazier is also charged with theft by receiving stolen property, and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Henry County Police said the incident took place Wednesday at Angie's Beauty Supply, located at 697 Davis Rd., in Stockbridge. According to Police Capt. Jason Bolton, Johnson and Frazier were inside the salon together, when Frazier allegedly initiated the robbery. "He attempted to take hair extensions and cosmetics, in the presence of employees," said Bolton. "A struggle ensued between employees and the suspect until police arrived." Authorities, upon conducting a search of the suspects, reportedly found the suspected marijuana on Frazier's person, as well as a stolen pistol in his car. The pair was arrested and taken to the Henry County Jail. Johnson and Frazier each appeared in Henry County Magistrate Court Thursday. Judge Martin Jones set bond at $30,000 for Frazier, and $20,000 for Johnson. Probable-cause hearings in the case have been reset for Oct. 9.More like this story
