Corporations looking to fill positions at job fair

The Fifth Annual Heritage Fall Festival will held Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m., to 6 p.m., at heritage Park, 101 Lake Dow Road, McDonough. There will be a costume contest at 2 p.m., (registration starts at noon) and Trick-or-Treating will begin at 3 p.m. There will also be Hayrides, food shopping, along with live music and entertainment. The City of McDonough and The Atlanta Regional Commission will host the 2008 Job Fair On Friday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m., to 3 p.m., at Shiloh Christian Education Center, which is located at 253 Macon Street in McDonough. More than 150 positions are available in nursing and allied health, education, food service, manufacturing, law enforcement, transportation, finance, management, retail, and more. Curse of the Scarecrow Halloween Haunted Trail will be at Heritage Park, 101 Lake Dow Road, Oct. 24-25 and 27-30. The trail is open from 8:30 p.m.m until 11 p.m. Ages 11-12 must be accompanied by an adult. $10 per person. Volunteers from Heron Bay Golf and Country Club and the Hands of Hope Clinic will hold the fifth annual Goblin Gallop, benefiting Henry County's Hands of Hope Clinic. People of all ages are invited to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes at Heron Bay for an evening of fall family fun. The event, a 6K run, 1 mile Run/Walk and Tot Trot, is scheduled for 5 p.m., on Saturday Oct. 25.

The Henry County Republican Party will host U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland and Henry County Candidates. Henry County Chapter 2411 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy meets once a month from September to June in McDonough.
