Eula Mae Thomas Thomson

Mrs. Eula Mae Thomas Thomson, 90, of Locust Grove, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14 , 2008 at the Sacred Journey Hospice. She was born in Baxley, Ga., to the late Joseph Henry and Viola Livingston Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander Thomson, Jr., in 2002; two infant brothers; sister, Thelma Forrester; brothers, Millard, Ralph, and Odis Thomas, and a granddaughter, Melissa Kate Evans.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Metropolitan Atlanta Family Campers, Teepee Toter's, Beekeepers Association, Farm Bureau, and the Limousine Cattle Association. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, and canning.

Survivors include her children, David (Teresa) Thomson, of Locust Grove, Eulene (Steve) Evans, of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Shannan, Scott, and Jimmy Thomson, Melinda Broxson, David and Jessica Evans; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, and Seth Evans, Lilly Mayo, Kayla, Emily, and Madison Broxson.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The Rev. Al O'Quinn and the Rev. Joey Seabolt will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Beverly Jean Gray

Mrs. Beverly Jean Gray passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008. She was born on March 1, 1940 in Muncie, Ind., to the late Frank and Gladys Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband, Elton DeWayne Gray, of Stockbridge; sons, James and Cindy Gray, of Locust Grove, Gary L. Gray, of Parker City, Ind., Thomas D. Gray, of Stockbridge; a daughter, Mrs. Marta (Simon) Martin, of Stockbridge; two sisters; Pat Joy, of Connersville, Ind., and Barbara Sullivan, of Parker City, Ind., and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m., at North Henry Baptist Church, with Pastor Stan Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m., up to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Cancer Society or North Henry Baptist Church.
