The Henry County Parks and Recreation Department will host its Fifth Annual Heritage Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m., to 6 p.m.
The event will take place at Heritage Park, 101 Lake Dow Road, McDonough. Registration begins at noon. There will be a costume contest at 2 p.m. Trick-or-treating starts at 3 p.m. Other festival activities include: hay rides, shopping, live music and other entertainment. There will also be a Pumpkin Carving Contest at the Pumpkin Patch, 3565 Hwy. 155, Stockbridge, or at the Southern Belle Farm, 1658 Turner Church Road, McDonough. Prizes will be given to the silliest, spookiest and the most-creative, carved pumpkins. Participants are required to bring their pumpkins to the patches no later than 9:30 am.
