The Clayton County Board of Education will hold a called meeting on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 9:30 a.m., at the district's Central Administration Complex, at 1058 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro.
During the meeting, the board will appoint people to represent Districts 2 and 5 until Dec. 31. The school board should have enough members to resume conducting the school system's business, once the appointments are made and the new members are sworn in. All appointed board members are scheduled to be sworn in on Sept. 22.
