DAR celebrating U.S. Constitution Week
The Augustin Clayton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, along with the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will join in celebrating U. S. Constitution Week, Sept. 17-23. The week-long commemoration of America's most important document is one of our country's least-known official observances. The Augustin chapter has partnered with the Southeast Region National Archives in Morrow to do a program about the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m. The program will include the presentation of the colors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard from Fort McPherson, a tour of the Archive facility and refreshments for the guests. A replica of the U.S. Constitution will be displayed at the Archives. Other displays will be presented by the Augustin Clayton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Museum of Patriots in Atlanta.
