Carl Larry Law, Sr.
Mr. Carl Larry Law, Sr., 70, of Rex, passed away Sept. 23, 2008. He was born in Bartow County, to the late Alfred Calhoun and Lillie Ida Lee Harris Law, and was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Bridges, Irene Price, and by a brother, Dean Law.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Abnaki in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Veteran's of Atomic Testing' Operation REDWING and was a member of the American Legion.
Carl retired from Peach State Truck Sales.He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, mechanic work, cooking, camping, playing cards, cookouts and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janice Law, of Rex; children, Elaine Law, of McDonough, Carl (Johnny) Law, Jr., of, Jenkinsburg, Carol (Marty) Ingram ,of Morrow, Debbie (Paul) Alley, of McDonough; grandchildren, Trisha Woods, Danny (Jesse) Karr, Amanda (Rogie) Stone, Patrick Law, Lauren Law, Stephanie Law, Taylor Alley, Nick Ingram; great-grandchildren, Danni Twilley and Mairin Stone; brothers, William A. (Shirley) Law, of Charlotte, N.C., and Jimmy Joe (Sandra) Law, of Grand Bay, Ala.; sister, Betty Jean (Pete) Raley, of Rome, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and his special companions, Maggie and Bonz.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m., from the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Friday, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Leukemia Foundation in memory of Mr. Law. Justin Kyle Evans
Justin Kyle Evans, of Forest Park, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 11a.m., at Forest Park First Baptist Church. Dr. Reed Crumbliss will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Thursday, 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Gloria and Ken Jacobs, of Lawrenceville; father and stepmother, Perry and Nan Evans, of Forest Park; brother, Jeremi and Melissa Evans, of Sugar Hill; grandparents, Jim and Dollie Callaway, of Forest Park, and Betty Butterworth, of Weaver, Ala.; aunts and uncles.

Opal M. Carter
Mrs. Opal M. Carter, 75, of Morrow, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008.
Opal was born at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, on July 28, 1933, and moved to Morrow with her husband, Ralph Eugene Carter. Ralph preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2003. Opal remained a widow until her death. Six children were born to Opal and her first husband, the Rev. John Arthur Miles, Sr.
Surviving are her daughters, Pricilla Lawhorn and her husband, Walter, of Douglasville; Dorcas Fidell and her husband, Eugene, of Kennesaw; Trina Geer and her husband, Dale, of LaGrange; Mrs. Renee Hilliard, of Marietta; and son, John Miles, Jr., and his wife, Winnie, of Fayetteville.
Opal had no children born to her and her husband Ralph. She was greatly blessed, and leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Opal felt that children are a heritage from the Lord.
Opal M. Carter worked for fifteen years with the State of Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Division in Jonesboro. For many years, she worked for the United States Civil Service at Ft. McPherson, Ft. Gillem, and with the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. She worked at many private businesses.Her favorite job was at the Clayton County Courthouse, with Judge Kenneth Kilpatrick. She was a lover of law and order. Opal lasts attended Phillips Drive Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, with remains placed in-state at noon, in the sanctuary of New Covenant Baptist Church, Morrow, Ga., with Rev. Eddie Goodall, the Rev. Jerome Binns and Rev. Milton Wood officiating.
