The Eagle's Landing Golden Eagles moved to 2-2 on the year and 2-1 in Region 4-AAA with a 12-0 victory over Maynard Jackson High School Friday night in a game played in McDonough.

It was the Golden Eagles' second win in a row.

Eagle's Landing scored through the air, on special teams and with its defense en route to the region victory.

Justin Williams threw a 15-yard pass to Michael Lee for the only touchdown of the game.

Justin Brantley booted a 37-yard field goal and Edozie Areh recorded a safety to round out the scoring.

Woodland 38, Rutland 14:

The Woodland Wolfpack won for the third time in a row Friday night, beating Rutland 38-14 on the road in a Region 4-AAA contest.

The Wolfpack, who are just in their second season of operation and playing their first region slate ever, spread the wealth throughout the night to move to 3-2 overall, and 3-0 in the region.

Quarterback Brett Vance was 10-of-14 for 104 yards and two touchdowns en route to the win.

Trey Buttler turned into Vance's favorite wide receiver, caching seven passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Kevin Wynn stepped in for running back Josh Tookes who rested his bruised knee. Wynn finished with 105 yards on 25 carries.

Union Grove 36, Redan 20:

The Union Grove Wolverines hit the road Friday night for a game against Region 2-AAAAA foe Redan and they came away with a 36-20 victory.

Donovan Johnson scored five TDs and rushed for 147 yards.

Riverdale 34, Morrow 0:

The Riverdale Raiders kept rival Morrow winless Friday night with a 34-0 victory at Tara Stadium.

Riverdale improved to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in Region 4-AAAAA play. Morrow dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the region.

Morrow has been shut out three times in a row.

ELCA 28, Our Lady Of Mercy 0:

ELCA went on the road Friday night for a Region 5-A football game and pitched its second shutout in a row. The Chargers improved to 3-1 and 2-0 in league play.

Alcovy 34, Jonesboro 19:

The Jonesboro Cardinals fell to Alcovy on the road Friday night at Homer Sharp Stadium in Covington. Jonesboro fell to 2-2.

Griffin 40, Forest Park 0:

The Bears knocked off the Panthers Friday night in a Region 4-AAAA battle.

Flint River 50, Strong Rock 22:

Strong Rock Christian fell to Flint River Academy 50-22 in action on Friday night.
