Vernard L. Kendrick, Jr. , 25, of Morrow died on Wednesday, April 8.

Survivors include a loving mother, Brenda Kendrick; a caring father, Vernard Kendrick, Sr.; a dedicated brother, Varntrez Kendrick; grandmother, Pearl Dennis; half-brother, Santonio Kendrick; half-sister, Ruth Kendrick and aunts, uncles and special friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., at Atlanta Mortuary Service in Hapeville.

Funeral services will be held Monday, at 2 p.m., at Apostolic Tabernacle in Jonesboro. Pastor B.S. Cole presiding. Interment to follow.

Mrs. Lyn P. Nale

April 26, 1954 - April 8, 2009

Mrs. Lyn Patterson Cooper-Nale, age 54, of Griffin passed away on April 8, 2009 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 26, 1954 in Fulton County to the late Robert H. and Angie Patterson. She is preceded in death by step-son, Tommy Nale. She and her mother formerly owned and operated Bazaar Boutique. Mrs. Nale had been a Realtor for 14 years and worked for Prudential of Henry County. She served as Treasurer for the Ladies of the Moose Auxiliary. Mrs. Nale was also a member of the Griffin Ladies Golf Association, member of the Georgia Board of Realtors, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Griffin First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Nale, Jr.; daughter, Kelley Meagan Cooper of Griffin; step-daughter, Hidie Montgomery of Griffin; step-son, Edward Nale of Griffin; brother, Robert Henry Patterson, Jr., of Virginia; two grandchildren, Matthew Montgomery and Madison Montgomery; and mother-in-law, Ruby Nale.

Friends may visit the family Saturday, April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, April 12, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 13, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
