Clayton County Police were trying to determine what led to the shooting death of one man Monday, and the wounding of another man, at a fast-food restaurant in Morrow.
Police said witnesses saw several males leaving the Little Caesar's Pizza at 6550 Mt. Zion Boulevard around 8 p.m., saying "hey shorty" to someone in a dark gray Nissan Altima. The person in the Altima then began shooting, said Clayton County Police spokeswoman Lt. Rebecca Brown. A 25-year-old man was struck in the chest and pronounced dead later at Southern Regional Medical Center. Another 20-year-old man, standing at the counter of the pizza shop, was shot in the foot as one of the bullets fired came through the window of the restaurant. The victims were not identified pending notification of family members. Anyone with information regarding the shooting was asked to contact the Clayton County Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477. - From staff reportsMore like this story
