Henry County Police are seeking the public's help in finding leads in their investigation into Tuesday's hit-and-run accident on Interstate 75.
According to Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton, the accident occurred along the northbound side of the highway at the 221 mile marker, just under the Jonesboro Road bridge.
"A tractor-trailer traveling north rear-ended a Toyota pickup, causing the Toyota to lose control and collide with a Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)," said Bolton.
The tractor-trailer did not stop after the collision, he said.
"We are hoping that someone who may have witnessed the accident will contact us, and provide information on the tractor-trailer," Bolton said.
The incident resulted in two non-life-threatening injuries, he added.
The passenger in the pick-up truck was taken to Atlanta Medical Center. Additionally, said Bolton, a 14-year-old male passenger in the SUV was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Egleston campus.
