lbond@news-daily.com Clayton County Police have issued warrants for the arrest of a man who is still at-large, after he allegedly shot another man in the buttocks in Riverdale Thursday, then evaded capture, following a brief car chase. Demontra Tyrell Williams, 24, allegedly led police on a car chase, crashed his vehicle, then fled on foot, according to Officer Kevin Hughes, a Clayton County Police spokesman. Warrants for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime have been issued for Williams, according to information released by Clayton County Police. Following an argument, Williams reportedly shot Reynold Worrell, 28, of Riverdale, with a .22 caliber, semi-automatic rife, police said. The incident occurred at an apartment complex located at 6071 Highway 85, in Riverdale, Hughes said. The Riverdale shooting is apparently not Williams' only brush with the law. He is also on the Clayton County Sheriff's Office's 12 Most Wanted list, for an alleged violation of probation, which stems from an original charge of violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. Williams is believed to have ties to the Conley and Forest Park areas. Anyone with information about Williams and his whereabouts, is asked to contact the Clayton County Police Crimes Against Persons Unit at (770) 477-3608.More like this story
