Bobby O. McDonald
Bobby O. McDonald, age 74, of Griffin died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009. He was born in Jefferson, Ga., to the late Redge and Jewel Slaton McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired as an iron worker and belonged to the Iron Workers Local 387. He was a member of the Assembly of God Tabernacle in Decatur. He coached football with the Riverdale Recreation Center in years past, and then umpired and refereed in the south metro area. He enjoyed playing his cards.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Scarlett McDonald; son, Scott and Tanya McDonald of Stockbridge; daughter, Kelley McDonald and Bo Benicoff of Griffin; seven grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Matthews of Macon.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 8 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
