Lucille A. "Nanny Cille" Garmon
Lucille A. "Nanny Cille" Garmon, 91, of Conyers passed away Aug. 19, 2009. She is the daughter of the late John and Bessie Hooper Mailey. Mrs. Garmon was preceded in death by James E. Sexton, Pat and Nathan Maddox. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Sexton of Riverdale; grandchildren, Janet and Tim Whisnant of Covington, Debbie and Paul Ragan of Conyers, Cathy and Duane Abston of DeMott, Ind., Kevin Sexton of Riverdale, and Roy and Angela Maddox of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren, Whitney, Becky, Travis, Micah, Michelle, Justin, Payton and Page; three great-great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cayla and Madison; and a sister, Eva Brown of Marietta. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 22 at Ward's Fairview Chapel. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Research Center, 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, Minn., 55101 or to the American Cancer Society 2200 Lake Blvd., Atlanta, Ga., 30329.
