Forest Park Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old woman found dead over the weekend at an extended stay motel.
Around 3:15 p.m., Saturday, police and EMS personnel responded to a report of a female not breathing at the Home Lodge motel, room 122, at 4552 Old Dixie Highway in Forest Park, according to a police department statement.
Teresa Ann Elliott, a registered guest at the motel, was found dead in the hotel room, according to Major Chris Matson, spokesman for the police department.
The manner and cause of death are still under investigation, Matson said. He said there were no initial signs of trauma to the body.
The cause of death will be determined by a Georgia Bureau of Investigation's medical examiner, according to Matson.

shooting death of roomate
Alexandria Johnson, 18, of 950 Lake Ridge Parkway, in Riverdale, was being held in the Clayton County Jail, Monday, in conncection with the shooting death of her roomate, Sidney Byther, 26, according to Officer Kevin Hughes, a Clayton County Police Department spokesman.
Police responded to a report of a person shot at the address, around 11:30 p.m., Sunday, according to a police report.
Byther was "bleeding from his head area" when an officer arrived on the scene, according to the report. He was transported to Southern Regional Medical Center, and was later pronounced dead, Hughes said.
Johnson was not related to Byther, and "they were not in a relationship," Hughes said.
The victim's brother, Carlos Byther, 35, told police that he came home and saw his brother "sitting on the couch with a gunshot wound through the head," according to the police report.
Police did not release information on a motive for the shooting.
