Maqeeye Biggs paced Morrow's boys basketball team in its Region 4-AAAAA opener Tuesday night, a 77-59 victory over visiting East Coweta.
Biggs scored a game-high 26 and was a perfect 7-for-7 from behind the 3-point arc.
Ola 55, Mt. Zion 51
The Mustangs built a 20-point lead and held on for a Region 4-AAAA win Tuesday night at home.
Ola (2-0, 1-0) was led by Tim Mason's 18 points. Brad Bloud added nine.
Woodland 71, Mary Persons 53
Darius Tookes had 14 and Elliot Davis added 11 for the Wolfpack (2-1, 1-0) in their Region 4-AAA opener.
North Clayton 61, Alcovy 53
Zach Bradley had a game-high 22 points for the Eagles (2-0, 1-0 Region 4-AAAA). Marcus Hunt scored 12 and Justin Ravnell added nine.
Stockbridge 86, Griffin 68
Chris Davis continued his torrid start to the season with 30 points to lead the Tigers (2-1, 1-0 Region 4-AAAA). Dante Campbell had 13 points and Regis Wilburn added 10.
