Clayton County Police say a Jonesboro man shot his fiancee's teenage son in the leg Friday, after the teen allegedly threatened the man with a knife.
Police questioned Jerrick Tarrant, 36, following the incident that occurred around 7:30 a.m., Friday, in the 3200 block of Medina Drive, in Jonesboro, according to GlenNeta Griffin, a public information officer for the police department.
"He [Tarrant] came to the station to be questioned, but at this time, he has not been charged," said Griffin. "They were arguing over some disciplinary issues," she said.
The 17-year-old was transported to Southern Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Griffin.
