Clayton County Board of Education member, and lawyer, Michael King, recently announced that he will hold his eighth-annual Michael B. King Spelling Legal Bee on Saturday at 9 a.m., at the National Archives at Atlanta.
The archives building is located at 5780 Jonesboro Road, in Morrow. The annual spelling bee features legal words that the students, in fourth-through-ninth grades, have to spell. The first-place spellers in the elementary school division (grades four through six) and the middle school division (grades seven through nine) will each receive $150 and a trophy, according to King. He also said second-place finishers will receive $100; third-place finishers will get $75; fourth-place finishers, $50; fifth-place finishers, $25; sixth-place finishers, $15, and seventh-place finishers, $5. There is no registration fee, and the deadline to register is Thursday. To register for the legal spelling bee, call King's law office at (770) 478-3555. Curt YeomansMore like this story
