Traveling down one of Clayton County's main thoroughfares, motorists this holiday season are catching glimpses of reindeer, elves and Santa himself.
Along Ga. Highway 54, which ties the north end of Clayton to the south, holiday light displays abound.
On the expansive lawn in front of the Lake City Municipal Hall, a 58-foot Christmas tree towers over gift-bearing elves and leaping reindeer.
In Morrow, Santa Claus waves to passing motorists from a spot in front of the sign for the Morrow Municipal Complex.
In downtown Jonesboro, the utility poles are decorated with lighted candles and trees, and a display featuring a gingerbread house stands beneath a Christmas tree on the lawn of the historic courthouse.
With Christmas just around the corner, there may not be much time left to enjoy the show.
