Now that Christmas 2009 has come and gone, and thoughts are turning to New Year's Eve celebrations, the time has come for holiday-lights displays to come down, to be packed away until next fall. And, with the next Christmas 12 months away, Clayton County Building and Maintenance Department employees, and inmates from the county's jail, spent Monday and Tuesday taking apart the lights display on the lawn of the Historic Clayton County Courthouse. Larry Hood, a master-trained specialist for the county's Building and Maintenance Department, said the displays, including the large Christmas tree that he oversaw the disassembly of, will be stored at the county's archives facility, which is located at 1117 Battle Creek Road, in Jonesboro.
