Donald Edward Branscome
Mr. Donald Edward Branscome, age 64, of Jonesboro passed away Jan. 31, 2009. He served as a City of Atlanta police officer, retiring with over 30 years of service. He worked in the Hit-and-Run Division, Motorcycle Division and Aviation Division. He had many friends within the Atlanta Police Department. He also worked at Cars and Credit Assistance.
He is survived by his children, Catherine Branscome of Flowery Branch, Dennis Branscome of Flowery Branch, Richard Donald Branscome of Atlanta; brother, Robert Branscome of North Carolina; sister, Cindy Branscome Owens of Florida; stepfather, Gilbert Sullivan; extended family, Ejoktan Garnett, Tonya Garnett, Tammy Garnett, and Sonia Garnett.

Mrs. Josefa S. Favela, age 92, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009.

Billie Collier, 62, of Hampton passed away Feb. 1, 2009. Mrs. Collier was born in Clayton County to the late Arnold and Nell Perkins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.W. Collier, on July 5, 2007.
She is survived by her sons, Ken Collier of Hampton, Jerry Collier of Hampton, Randy Collier of Stockbridge, Jeff Collier of Hampton and Daniel Collier of Griffin; 11 grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

Mr. Larry Byrom, age 64, of Yatesville, Ga., passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009. He attended the First Baptist Church of Barnesville, was past president of the Clayton County Farm Bureau, retired from Delta Air Cargo after 25 years of service and was a former employee of the Clayton County Fire Department. He loved farming and baseball.
Mr. Byrom is survived by his wife, Cristal; daughters, Dawn and Michael Ringo, Kelly and Kristopher Lauridsen; son, Britt and Frances Byrom; grandchildren, Brooke Byrom, Pierce Byrom; sisters, Linda Summerlin, Bonnie Dixon-Ing and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church Jonesboro with the Rev. Garth A. Forster officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro City Cemetery.
