The Christian should have no fear of death

The Christian's destiny is to live forever in Heaven with his God and Savior Jesus Christ.

His life does not end in death, for the Lord has promised he will come to live with Him in that beautiful Heaven He is preparing for those who love God and have devoted their lives to following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible, which is the true Word of God, tells us in John 14:1-4 and 6: "Do not let your heart be troubled, trust in God, trust also in me. [Trust is the antidote for a troubled heart.] In my Father's house [Heaven] are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. [All His disciples-all who believe and trust in Jesus.] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, that where I am there you may be also."

This means Jesus' second coming, in which, I believe, the Rapture is a definite part. "You know the way to the place where I am going," Jesus says.

Then in verse 6, we read: "I am the way, the truth and the life. [I am: the first of seven self-descriptions of Jesus. In Exodus 3:14, God said to Moses, 'I am who I Am.' This is the Name by which God wished to be known and worshiped by His people-the name which expressed His character as the dependable and faithful God who desires the full trust of His people.

The way to God. (Jesus is not "a way," or one way, He is the only way!) Did you know the truth of God is that He and Jesus Christ are the same person?

The first verse of the book of John say: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning."

Now, verse 14 says: "The Word became flesh," [became indicates transition-the "Word" existed before He became man.]

The word "flesh" here stresses the reality of Christ's manhood. This verse also tells us that Christ was both God and man, 100 percent of both! And He made his dwelling among us. (Emanuel-God with us.)

We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Grace and truth means unfailing love and faithfulness.

Then Jesus tells us in the rest of this verse: "No one comes to the Father except by me." The only way anyone can be saved-that is forgiven of their sin and saved to Heaven and from Hell, is to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as Savior and Lord!

Romans 10:9 and10 tells us: "If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, then you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth one confesses resulting in salvation."

I'm so thankful God has made it so easy, so simple to become a Christian, one who believes His Holy Word and asks for His forgiveness, and who gladly trusts and obeys.

When we come into a relationship with Him, He gives us His gift, which is eternal life, life in such a wonderful, beautiful and magnificent place-Heaven, where we will live forever with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

There, we will be reunited with all our loved ones, our family and our friends.

Why would any Christian, any true believer, be afraid of death, which is the doorway to Eternal life!

I can testify to being almost through that door ten years ago. It was just like going to sleep. I didn't feel any pain, I wasn't afraid, because I knew my God and Savior Jesus Christ was caring for me.

Apparently, He had other plans for me, for I woke up. After three days, I came back to life! Praise God! Wherever He leads, I'll go!
