Do not overpay your property tax - Ben Loggins
In this troubled economy, it is our hope that the county, and then the state, will correctly show the reduced value of our properties (especially in Clayton County) when calculating our property taxes for 2009. However, I would not depend entirely on the county or the state to properly show the decline in our property values.

Pets of the Week - Feb. 19, 2009
Katey is a black/gray domestic tabby. She is approximately one a half years old, and she has been spayed. Having just come into CCHS, she is still getting her vaccinations updated. Katey is a wonderfully sweet cat, and sadly, she's had some seriously bad luck thrown her way in her short year and a half. When she was a tiny kitten, a "good Samaritan" snatched her out of the middle of a very busy Atlanta road, and she was allowed to live with him until there were issues with another pet in the house. When the friction started up, Katey was handed over to CCHS. Katey is now looking for a new home where she can be the center of attention. For information about how to adopt Katey, please call Robin at 770/478-7531. Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
