Greater St. Peter to host open house

Greater St. Peter Christian Academy is hosting an open house today and Saturday, from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m. Children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age will be accepted. The curriculum used for the academy is the Bible-based "A Beka." The academy is located at 9540 Fayetteville Road in Jonesboro, on the campus of Greater St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church, where the Rev. Isaiah J. Waddy is pastor. On March 7 at 10 a.m., I Pray for Riverdale! will host its first Prayer Walk of 2009. Participants in the walk will travel door-to-door in the neighborhoods surrounding Riverdale High School, offering prayer to residents. The Women of Excellence Ministry at Mt. Flowing River Fellowship, located at 3706 Jodeco Road in McDonough, will present "Dinner at the River" on March 14 at 7 p.m., featuring Mike Warnke as the guest speaker.
