Terry E. Daniell

Terry E. Daniell, 65, of Rex, died on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m., at Pope Dickson & Son-Morrow Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Shannon officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Franklin Daniell; mother, Ola Mae (Chambers) Daniell; nephews, Paul, Steven and Mark Daniell, Scott Goldin, Greg Matthews and Johnny Goldin.

He is survived by his children, Shana Smith and Sharla Shockley; fiancée, Mary Trollinger and her children, Belinda Dale and Robert Quick, Jr.; sisters, Laura Posey, Shirley Goldin, Glenda Schlotter, Betty Dickerson, and Delores McRorie; brothers, Junius Daniell, Roger Daniell, and E.D. Daniell; 4 grandsons and 26 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Pope Dickson & Son-Morrow Chapel is incharge of the arrangements, (770) 961-2700.

Raymond E. Whatley

Raymond E. Whatley, 70, of Forest Park, passed away Jan. 6, 2009.

He was a member or Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Michele Whatley, of Newnan; daughter, Bonnie Ann Whitehead, of Forest Park; brother, Robert E. Whatley, of Riverdale; sisters, Barbara Hughes, of Griffin, Dorothy Gramling, of Griffin, Linda Slaton, of Douglasville; and grandchildren, David Whatley and Heather Whatley.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m., at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. He will lie in-state one hour prior to the service. Dr. Joe Arthur will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 5 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
