Mildred T. Johnson

Mildred T. Johnson, 92, of Jackson, formerly of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009. She was a resident at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Dillard Ira Teate and Hattie Rogers Teate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon J. Johnson; 10 sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by one son, L. Ronald Johnson and wife, Pat, of Bonita Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Brenda J. Johnson and husband, Jerry, of Jackson; two grandsons, R. Scott Johnson and wife, Michelle, of Peachtree City, Darryl G. Johnson and wife, Ann, of Senoia; one step-grandson, Phillip Forgione of California; two step-granddaughters, Gaby McCormick and husband, Mike, of Virginia, and Amanda Meehan of New Jersey; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; six step-great-grandsons; two step-great-granddaughters; one step-great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime member of Tanners Baptist Church in Ellenwood.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Jones Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Huggins officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m., to 12 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. William Albert Prince, Jr., age 55, of Stockbridge passed away July 9, 2009. Bill was born in Etowah, Tenn. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed being with his family. He enjoyed hot rod cars and oldies music. His father, William Albert Prince, Sr., preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 36-plus years, Jo Lynn Prince of Stockbridge; children, Christina Prince (John Zubal) of Jonesboro, Chandra Roberts (John) of Locust Grove, Brandy Butz (John) of Stockbridge; mother, Barbara Prince of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Joshua Roberts, Autumn Roberts, Alex Roberts, Emilee Roberts, Grace Butz, and Noah Butz; sisters, Cindy Herman (Jim) of California and Carol Waters (Rick) of Dallas, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
