A Clayton County woman suspected of stealing from her father's house in Henry County will stand before a Superior Court judge to answer the charge.

Rori Dashay Johnson, 21, of Jonesboro, is charged with one count of burglary

Henry County Police say the incident which led to the suspect's arrest took place on the night of June 21, at 1669 Graystone Drive in Hampton. According to a police report, the father and his girlfriend arrived home from church and saw Johnson at the house.

"The couple observed as [Johnson] came out of the front door of their residence, and ran towards their neighbor's back yard while carrying a plastic bag," the report states. "[They] observed that the garage door had also been opened."

The report further states that Johnson went back to the front of the house, and asked to use the restroom.

"Johnson was using a cell phone at the time she entered the bathroom, and then abruptly left the residence," according to the report.

Police were told that when the couple inspected the home, several items had been removed from a basket on the hallway floor. The items included a silver iPod, costume jewelry and $30 worth of bath items.

A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest June 22, and she was apprehended June 25. She was released from the Henry County Jail the following day, on $25,000 bond.

Johnson appeared Wednesday in Henry County Magistrate Court, and waived her right to a preliminary hearing in the case. Her attorney, Brandon Cline, did not comment on the allegations against his client.

Henry County Magistrate Judge Robert Godwin bound the burglary charge over to Superior Court. A future hearing date in the case has not been set.
