The second concert in McDonough's Music on The Square series is today, and will feature the Sean Shuffler Band. The music begins at 7 p.m., and Linda Schenk, director of the McDonough Main Street Program, expects strong attendance.
The band, which plays its own brand of jazz and mellow, summertime music, has already gained exposure through regular performances at Season's Bistro, said Schenk. The series is always popular, she said, and last month's group, the Doc Driver Band, drew crowds of between 700 and 800. Fans turning out for the free concerts will be able to have dinner and dessert at a number of restaurants on The Square, which stay open during the concerts, added Schenk. -- Valerie BaldowskiMore like this story
