Lamer Garner

Mr. Lamer Garner, age 85, of Morrow passed away Monday, July 20, 2009. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morrow. He is survived by his wife, Lynda; son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Donna Garner of Jonesboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and David Pope of Newnan, Donna and Bill Leming of Fayetteville; brother, Doyle Garner of Lithia Springs; sister, Laverne Sewell of Mount Zion; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. Thomas Quisenberry will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Jean Flora Evans

Jean Flora Evans, age 48, of Locust Grove died on Saturday, July 18, 2009.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 21 at 1:30 p.m., at Pope Dickson & Son-Jonesboro Chapel with the Rev. James Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Camp Memorial Park.

Her family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Evans; son, Raymond Evans; daughter, Christy Meeks; granddaughters, Trinity Meeks, Kayla Meeks, and Elizabeth Rose; father, John Ray Gravitt, and sister, Marie Kirkley.
