Jonesboro man faces bestiality charge

Clayton County Police have arrested a Jonesboro man for allegedly having sexual relations with his dog.

Edwin Robles, 53, was arrested this week and charged with one count of bestiality, according to Clayton County Police spokesperson, Lt. Rebecca Brown.

Police say the act occurred at Robles' home, at 3059 Players Drive, Jonesboro.

Clayton County Police were notified Monday, by the Osceola County Sheriff's Department in Florida, of a possible act of bestiality in Clayton County, according to Brown.

"Upon following up on the information provided by the Florida authorities, investigators confirmed that the suspect did engage in an act of bestiality with his canine, Chain," Brown said in a statement.

Brown did not have information about how Florida authorities learned about the alleged activity. She said Robles had a Florida license plate, and may have previously lived in Florida.
