Mildred Moody Cox
Mrs. Mildred Moody Cox, age 94, of Jonesboro passed away July 25, 2009. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church since 1946, and a Sunday school teacher there for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Cox, Sr., and son, Charles Cox. She is survived by her son, James Cox, Jr., daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Gene Barnette of Stockbridge, Peggy and Jerry Hutcheson of Stockbridge; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Reynolds and Dr. Rev. Jeff Hutcheson will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, July 27 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
