McDonough Church of Christ will distribute school supplies to children in the community during its Fun Day on Saturday from 11 a.m., to 3 p.m. Each pack will include a variety of school supplies distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be present to receive supplies and are limited to one bag per child. The supplies are for children in grades kindergarten through fifth. First Baptist Church, located at 1647 Lake Harbin Road in Morrow, will host its seventh annual Tomato-Sandwich Party on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The party is an annual fund-raiser for The Good Shepherd Clinic, which offers free primary medical care to Clayton County residents who are not covered by a health insurance program. Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, located at 142 South Main Street in Jonesboro, will host "Movie on the Corner" Saturday, on the corner of South Main and College streets. The feature presentation will be "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian." Admission is free and complimentary drinks and popcorn will be provided. The Women's Missionary Union of First Baptist Church of Riverdale will host a prayer walk on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Riverdale Elementary School, starting at 10 a.m. Participants will meet in the school parking lot to pray for students, faculty, and school workers to have a successful school year. Aug. 8

St. Augustine's Episcopal Church will host a free community breakfast in its Parish Hall on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 to 10 a.m. The public is invited. "I Pray for Riverdale!" will host a prayer caravan on Saturday, Aug. 8 starting at 10 a.m., in Riverdale. Prayer teams will travel to all the schools in Riverdale and spend time in prayer for teachers, children and school workers. Lion of Judah Family Worship Center, located at 6030 Ga. Aug. 15
