Edward "Glen" Warden
Edward "Glen" Warden, age 79, passed away at home in Forest Park on July 19, 2009. He was born July 22, 1929 in Big Stone Gap, Va. Glen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He dearly loved his grandchildren, and was passionate about his music and old cars. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Glen retired from Owens Illinois after 31 years of service. Glen is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Hawks) Warden; son, Edward V. Warden of Forest Park; daughters, Glenda K. Warden of Forest Park, Diana (Gary) Alderson of Griffin, Janice (Ray) Greene of Jackson; four grandchildren, Brandy Warden, Samantha Warden, Ciara (Warden) Smith, and Ryan Lowe; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Brittany Gilbert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred McWhirt of Gas City, Ind., Mavis Hawks of Newnan, Shirley (Jerry) Abner of Germantown, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Catherine (Dorton) Warden; brother, Joseph Warden; sisters, Margie Robinette, Mildred Anderson, Stella Cress; brother-in-law, Lester Hawks; sister-in-law, Maxine McWhirt. A memorial service will be scheduled by the family at a later date.More like this story
