Dakota James Price-Shields
Dakota James Price-Shields, age 7, of McDonough passed away May 30, 2009. Dakota was an outgoing, vibrant young boy who enjoyed being with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing football, fishing, baseball, riding his four-wheeler, riding horses, PlayStation, Wii and all of the "Star Wars" movies. He enjoyed teasing his family, especially his grandfather and sister.
Survivors are his mother and dad, John and Nicole Shields of McDonough; father and step-mother, Terry and Nikki Price of Hilliard, Fla.; sister, Cheyanne Price-Shields of McDonough; brother, Pvt. Dusty Price of Fort Benning; step-brothers, Ryan and Kyle Shields of Jacksonville, Fla.; step-sister, Crystal Shields of Macon; grandparents, Charles and Cathy Blankenship Allen of Covington, Steve Willard of Willow Springs, Mo., Joe and Ann Shields of Flovilla; great-grandparents, Marie and Jim Kirby of Stockbridge, and J.P. Willard of McDonough; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by grandparents, David and Nell Price.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Interment will be at Lawn Wood Memorial Park in Covington. Margaret Virginia McCann
Margaret Virginia McCann, age 78, of Forest Park passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009. Ms. McCann was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Flossie Greene Stancil; brothers, Leland Stancil, Doyle Stancil, Leonard Stancil and a sister, Hazel Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Frank) Kimbel of Stockbridge, Kathryn Raven of Stockbridge, Barbara Tumlin of Forest Park, Debbie McCann of Riverdale; grandchildren, Dana (Robert) English of Locust Grove, Lee (Nagi) Wallis of Stockbridge, Travis Wallis of Stockbridge, Ashley Tumlin of Forest Park, Brandon McCann of Riverdale; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Hannah English, Tyler Wallis; sisters, Dorothy James and Gladys (Ed) Kostman.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 1, at 2 p.m., at Ward's Parkway Chapel, and the Rev. Jay Dockweiler officiated. Interment followed at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Margaret was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She will be missed. Horis A. Ada Frances Banks Skidmore
Mrs. Ada Frances Banks Skidmore, age 66, of College Park passed away May 30, 2009.
She is survived by daughter, Sheila K. Skidmore of Stockbridge; son and daughter-in-law, James Edward and Jackie Skidmore of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Thomas Skidmore, Jeremiah Skidmore; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Libba Banks of Villa Rica; sister, Marion Darling of Maryland, and sister and brother-in-law, Kay and James Maddox of Stockbridge.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Donnie Skidmore will officiate. Jesse Hinton, age 23, of Stockbridge died May 31, 2009. He was born in Fulton County on March 3, 1986. Jesse loved his music, snowboarding, golfing, sky diving, and traveling. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and an honor graduate of Georgia Tech.
Jesse is survived by his parents, Robert Bowen and Joyce Denice Norman Hinton of Stockbridge; brother, Judson Hinton of McDonough; sister, Effie Hinton of Stockbridge; nieces, Jaylan Hinton and Maggie Hinton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, June 4, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. John Clinton Walters, Jr., 87, of St. Simons Island, formerly of Hampton, died May 31, 2009 at SGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Bobby Garrett Willoughby
Mr. Bobby Garrett Willoughby, age 44, of Locust Grove passed away May 29, 2009. Bobby was born in Fulton County. He was self employed and owned his own construction company. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, NASCAR, sports, music, playing pool, casinos, and his daughter's dogs.
Survivors are his wife of 27 years, Pamela Willoughby of Locust Grove; children, Wendy Willoughby of McDonough and April Willoughby of Locust Grove; mother, Doris Ashworth of Covington; sister, Tammy Ashworth Campbell of Covington; brother, Ed Ashworth of Covington; several nieces and nephews. His father, Windell Willoughby, and a brother, Kelly Ashworth, preceded him in death.
